The Word of The Lord is right, bringing Joy to the heart...Ps.19:8a

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Ps. 16:11

Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

God's written Word, The Bible, was given to us for that very reason. A hard copy of His Heart to lift us up and show us the correct way to go. Apply as needed. Better yet, Daily.

  The Frustrating Merry-go-round of a Compromised Life   Got an unhealthy pattern in your life that is bringing you down or to ruin and want out? I confess, I am overweight, and I know it is because of the choices I make when it comes to food. When I look at my appearance, it brings depression and when I get depressed, I eat. THE 2 CHOICES THAT WE ALL HAVE

  CHOOSE WISELY, WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A CHOICE!   Everyone must choose one of two pains. There is no avoiding it. The pain of discipline, or the pain of regret. The choice is yours. Discipline: "the ability to pursue what one believes is right, despite temptations to abandon it." Folly: "lack of good sense or normal prudence and foresight." The pig who built his house out of brick made a choice which required discipline because of the skill and time required to build it.  The pig who build his out of sticks made his choice, the easy way out, and wound up with only regret. (and homeless...) When you build your house on the rock of Christ Jesus, it takes discipline. Lots of it!  And if you build your house on the sand, you will reap regret, because the storms are guaranteed to come against both houses.  Give a listen to Big Tent Revival's song "2 sets of Jones's" for clarity. TAKE UP WHAT CROSS??

  What Jesus was really saying in Luke 9:23 There is so much misunderstanding, fallacy, and false teaching of this scripture;    "You must deny yourself, take up your cross daily and follow me."  When Jesus was telling this to the disciples, He had not gone to the Cross yet, neither had he been physically carrying one around.  So, since He ALWAYS leads by example, what was He carrying around Daily?  His purpose. And His purpose was to be The Messiah on the cross. Yes, the physical cross was in his path, but that was ONE day out of his 33 years of living, and after that one day, he was done with the material of the cross! He lives even today, still fulfilling His purpose.   This is the same thing that he wants from us.  As we willingly and purposely walk with him in discipleship, we learn more and more of what our individual calling is as He guides our hearts (to will and to do).
