When things go silent..

We all have things that get our goat, so to speak.
One of mine is when I reach out to one of my children either by leaving a voice message or a text message and getting absolutely no response. I try not to be overly sensitive about this, because everyone gets busy from time to time, but I am a parent who loves his children. After all, I created these people.
I must confess that it sours my day when this happens.
I can't help but wonder how God does it, reaching out over and over to the billions of people he created and getting no response. Or outright rejection! If my heart hurts, so much more His.....
So please, call upon Him today. As often as you can. He loves it. He Loves you.

THE 2 CHOICES THAT WE ALL HAVE

  CHOOSE WISELY, WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A CHOICE!   Everyone must choose one of two pains. There is no avoiding it. The pain of discipline, or the pain of regret. The choice is yours. Discipline: "the ability to pursue what one believes is right, despite temptations to abandon it." Folly: "lack of good sense or normal prudence and foresight." The pig who built his house out of brick made a choice which required discipline because of the skill and time required to build it.  The pig who build his out of sticks made his choice, the easy way out, and wound up with only regret. (and homeless...) When you build your house on the rock of Christ Jesus, it takes discipline. TAKE UP WHAT CROSS??

  What Jesus was really saying in Luke 9:23 There is so much misunderstanding, fallacy, and false teaching of this scripture;    "You must deny yourself, take up your cross daily and follow me."  When Jesus was telling this to the disciples, He had not gone to the Cross yet, neither had he been physically carrying one around.  So, since He ALWAYS leads by example, what was He carrying around Daily?  His purpose. And His purpose was to be The Messiah on the cross. Yes, the physical cross was in his path, but that was ONE day out of his 33 years of living, and after that one day, he was done with the material of the cross! He lives even today, still fulfilling His purpose.   This is the same thing that he wants from us.  As we willingly and purposely walk with him in discipleship, we learn more and more of what our individual calling is as He guides our hearts (to will and to do).
