YOUR RIGHT TO BE IN THE THRONE ROOM
When you pray, where do you see yourself positionaly in relation to
God? Are you here on Earth, and he is someplace far, far away in outer
space?
Place yourself on the outskirts of God's throne room.
Visualize in your head as best you can a real situation in which you are actually, physically there.
The doors open as you start to pray.
What seems like 60 feet away is Almighty God. Creator of the Universe. Controller of Heaven and Hell sitting on His throne.
All of your senses are immediately overwhelmed by the immensity and intensity of that room because of His actual presence.
Here's the question of the moment; How do you approach Him?
Like
the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz, full of fear? Like you don't
really belong there and hope you don't get whacked because you had the
nerve to approach Him?
Or do you walk right in
like you own the place? And I'm asking you to truthfully play it out in
your mind that exact scenario as if you suddenly found yourself
physically right there.
Truth be told, I would
probably freeze for a moment, (okay, more than a moment...), as I take it all in and wait for the memory
of what He said that brought me there in the first place!
"BOLDLY approach the throne of Grace...", so that I might "Submit ALL your requests to Him..."
The main thing to recall before going in and every day is that Father
God WANTS you there in that awesome place!
He gave up His only Son,
Jesus, so that we can come ANYTIME and as many times as we desire.
He
desires that we know Him so well that we are comfortable enough to climb
right up in His lap! The lap of God Almighty! This is the reason that He forgave us! To have a deep relationship with Him!
And of course, we do not
go in there brazenly or idly. No, not at all. With humility, awe and a
thankful heart, we walk in.
His desire is to be in the middle of everything in our lives, but He can't and won't if you don't come and share what's REALLY going on in your heart.
I don't know about you, but I need a BIG, personal, accessible God in my life. I am so Blessed that He is!
Bruce no almighty signing off.....
