Where in my purpose am I right now??
Are you crying out to The Lord for purpose in life? Do you feel lead or driven in your Spirit to use your gifts and talents to further the Gospel in the world? Is your compass not working and you are unsure which way to go or what the next step is? Let it be known that this is perfectly normal for us.
Even fish and birds and other creatures make migrations with no one is standing there directing them on their way. Salmon going up streams. Butterflies traveling in-mass to a final destination. Swallows returning to a place they've never seen. Domestic pets finding their way home from long distances.
Are we not much more loved by God, that He would purposely guide a willing person to those places that will both fulfill His purpose and immensely gladden the heart of the one He sent with Joy?
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye upon you"!! Ps 32:8. What a wonderful promise!!!
All the creatures listed above take rests along the route to restore their strength, heal any wounds and take in nourishment to sustain them. We are no different! On cross-country trips, do we not take rest stops, get fuel, food, sleep and repairs if necessary? Of course we do, unless you are a participant in the Cannonball Run........
In the waiting for the next leg of the journey, are we resting, restoring, healing and nourishing? I believe God wants us to be healthy in our body, spirit and emotions before we continue on. Are you neglecting one of those areas? Perhaps that is the reason that you are still in a parked position..... This is the "waiting on The Lord" that we talk about.
If you've given your life to Jesus, this time-frame is included in that agreement. Your heart and spirit is willing and you are asking for direction from Him who knows all things and has PERFECT timing. Relax and trust in His process. He is known for fantastic results!
Just a thot.
