Love they neighbor. Who? Who's my neighbor?

Is your love turning cold towards your neighbor? Not so much as the folks next door, but those vastly different from your lifestyle that you coexist with on this planet. See Matthew 24 for the warning from Jesus on this.....

Speaking about the end times:

 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Because of the evil and sin in the  world, has our love, our Agape love, grown cold because we can't stand looking or listening to it anymore? Trans this, woke that, government and media corruption...
 
In "Jesus Revolution" it portrayed Chuck Smith as very much against the "counter culture" of the day. Disgusting, dirty, drug taking, smelly hippies. BUT, that was EXACTLY who God wanted to reveal Himself to! Chuck's love had grown cold....
 
Is there a group out there that you find yourself way above and too good, too clean, too morally pure to engage? 
"And because lawlessness will abound, the love of MANY will grow cold.  Matthew 24:12
Jesus was referring to US, His church, not the heathens in the world.
It is frightening that the word He chose was "MOST"! And since He is always right, perhaps we, the ones reading this, need to spread the warning also.
 
We need to pray that The Holy Spirit would give us hearts and opportunities to reach this generation's "undesirables".....
Anyone can sign up to go on a mission trip to the "unfortunate", but who is willing to take up the cross that leads to today's "undesirables" and show them our, YOUR, Loving, Merciful God....?

A tough message for us that have a hard time with the way some of them think and believe, but we have been assigned the ministry of reconciliation and it's not going to happen if we don't focus on the ministry we have all been assigned to: 

"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God."  2 Cor 5:18 - 20 

And the Great Commission tells us to go unto ALL , not just the ones we are comfortable with.

Read the book, "23 Minutes in Hell" and you will no longer look at an unsaved person, no matter what their lifestyle, the same again!! 

May we all rise to our calling in this area!

THE 2 CHOICES THAT WE ALL HAVE

  CHOOSE WISELY, WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A CHOICE!   Everyone must choose one of two pains. There is no avoiding it. The pain of discipline, or the pain of regret. The choice is yours. Discipline: "the ability to pursue what one believes is right, despite temptations to abandon it." Folly: "lack of good sense or normal prudence and foresight." The pig who built his house out of brick made a choice which required discipline because of the skill and time required to build it.  The pig who build his out of sticks made his choice, the easy way out, and wound up with only regret. (and homeless...) When you build your house on the rock of Christ Jesus, it takes discipline. TAKE UP WHAT CROSS??

  What Jesus was really saying in Luke 9:23 There is so much misunderstanding, fallacy, and false teaching of this scripture;    "You must deny yourself, take up your cross daily and follow me."  When Jesus was telling this to the disciples, He had not gone to the Cross yet, neither had he been physically carrying one around.  So, since He ALWAYS leads by example, what was He carrying around Daily?  His purpose. And His purpose was to be The Messiah on the cross. Yes, the physical cross was in his path, but that was ONE day out of his 33 years of living, and after that one day, he was done with the material of the cross! He lives even today, still fulfilling His purpose.   This is the same thing that he wants from us.  As we willingly and purposely walk with him in discipleship, we learn more and more of what our individual calling is as He guides our hearts (to will and to do).
