My Loving Manager

How do you describe to someone how to obtain this thing that you've got going on with God? 
 
Yes, we've all got that scripture down that "you must be born again" (John 3:3), but as a step by step instructions, it leaves a lot to be desired in the "how to" details.

In a nutshell, it can be very easily described as such:
"The thing we all must do is repent (turn) from our known sins, and accepting Jesus, as he really is, to be our on-site manager."

Sadly, we have been trained, by the church, not God's Word, to say to people, "you must make Jesus the Lord of your life." 
 
Yes, this is what MUST happen, but that terminology has scared off many a damaged soul.
 
A lot of people, including me, find that given phrase a huge turn-off. It barks of a power struggle with someone who wants to wrestle you into submission. (nothing could be further from the truth with Jesus)
I personally embraced the idea when offered as, "manager of my life." That, I could easily accept!

What does a manager do other than assign tasks, give you the supplies to accomplish them, oversee your progress, and set boundaries so that you can succeed?
Boundaries not only for you to stay within but also boundaries for other people who want to encroach on your life! 
 
In plain English, he protects you, from yourself and outside dangers. 

A quick summary of this interactive relationship reveals that not only is He our loving advisor, but our muscle also! (think Guido and no-neck Louie)

And who would not want the all-knowing, all-powerful God of the universe protecting them? And here's the kicker... The price is right. It will only cost you everything you don't need or really want!

THE 2 CHOICES THAT WE ALL HAVE

  CHOOSE WISELY, WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A CHOICE!   Everyone must choose one of two pains. There is no avoiding it. The pain of discipline, or the pain of regret. The choice is yours. Discipline: "the ability to pursue what one believes is right, despite temptations to abandon it." Folly: "lack of good sense or normal prudence and foresight." The pig who built his house out of brick made a choice which required discipline because of the skill and time required to build it.  The pig who build his out of sticks made his choice, the easy way out, and wound up with only regret. (and homeless...) When you build your house on the rock of Christ Jesus, it takes discipline.     There's Still Hope! Do you think that God has possibly given up on you?
