DO THE SCREAMS PHASE YOU AT ALL?

When you want to scream...

You know that you don't really believe that anyone cares, but you risk it anyway.
You actually reach out for help.....

You may get the attention of a few well-meaning people, especially if you bother their pristine world.
Superficial inquiries and condolences are thrown towards you, and with sadness,
you  recognize them for what they are, but you continue to hope......
...that somehow, someway, that someone would care enough to jump into your inner world  with an iron grip and not let go or quit until you are mostly whole again.

Extremely rare are the people who will go the distance with someone who is truly overwhelmed.
If you're one of those people or want to be, remember, THEIR Victory comes only out of your inconvenience.

Depression and helplessness are very real, folks. And everywhere today.
And Despair, said to be the place where all Hope goes to die, is a very short journey for more people than we know. It's very real in our younger generations.

If you've been allowed to have a solid life, use it to help others up, not to gloat about what you've got or accomplished.

For God's sake, the world has way too many "look at me and my stuff" people out there and they are way too prominent in today's church. You can find them by just listening to them. The majority of their conversations are about what great thing they've done, what country they've traveled to, their possession collection and how their children are oh so successful. Without you asking!!

Yes, there are exceptions, but they are kinda rare. I'm blessed to have more than a few of these people in my life. People who talk about ideas, events, the impact Jesus is having in their life, and their desires of sharing themselves in one way or another.

God is the only one who gets to look down on people, and He does it to see who He can help.

Jesus never said "no" or turned a deaf ear to a desperate person in need, and neither should we!

2 Cor. 1:4  "He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us."

1 John 4:17b  "...In  this world we are like Jesus"  I sure hope this said of all of us!!!

Please remember 2 things.
1. The church is supposed to be a hospital to heal the wounded, not a good time resort.
2. Make sure you recall God's responsiveness every time that you cried out to or reached out to Him and He has fulfilled your need.
